Our client is a regional leading Digital IoT product manufacturer. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Supply Chain Specialist to join their team. The right candidate will be responsible for managing the sourcing and supply of components, modules, and devices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless supply chain process, from identifying reliable manufacturers to optimising costs.
Your new role
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, focusing on quality, reliability, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favourable terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with production planning teams to align component supply with production schedules.
- Monitor market trends and conduct research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyse market conditions to anticipate potential disruptions and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of component materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and conduct market research.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese.
