Our client is a Hong Kong leading NGO. This is an exciting new position created to centralise procurement operations across the organisation. The Procurement Manager will oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
Your new role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and performance.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical and sustainable procurement practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
