Your new company
Our client is an international financial services group headquartered in Europe dating back one century. They are actively looking to grow their Asia and Great China presence, hence hiring a new compliance professional to support the organisation.
Your new role
Developing and Implementing Policies:
- Support in developing, maintaining and ensuring the implementation of compliance policies in the region in accordance with Group standards.
- Ensure implementation of Financial Crime, Market Conduct, Data Protection and Integrity programs for Asia.
Monitoring:
- Monitor regulatory developments (including data privacy laws) impacting operations and provide timely updates to businesses and ensure ongoing compliance with emerging standards.
- Monitor and (independently and/or with supervision) provide advice on international sanction regulations and recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
Advisory:
- Provide timely and independent advice on compliance and controls issues.
- Support compliance consulting for new business initiatives.
- Review documents and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Reporting:
In collaboration with local business units, they provide input for regular and ad hoc incident compliance reporting to the Group, management and relevant committees.
Incident Reporting and Investigation:
Conduct (independently and/or with supervision) independent investigations into ethics cases, complaints and allegations of violations of company rules and policies.
Others:
- Conduct general compliance tasks including gifts and entertainment processes and AML/CTF screening.
- Support the deployment of training programs and guidance on compliance topics including market conduct, anti-corruption, data privacy and others.
