Your Role

As the Director of Innovation and Product Excellence, you will be a key player in shaping the future of our client's product lineup. This role requires a dynamic leader who can bridge the gap between creative vision and practical execution. Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with the Chief Creative Officer to translate innovative concepts into marketable products
- Spearheading product development strategies that align with market trends and consumer demands
- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring quality and compliance at every stage
- Leading a diverse team of engineers, designers, and quality assurance specialists
- Conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
- Optimising manufacturing processes and supply chain operations for efficiency and sustainability
- Fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive innovation and growth

This role requires significant travel, with approximately 50% of your time spent in manufacturing facilities in Asia.

What You'll Need to Succeed

- A bachelor's degree in Product Design, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus
- 10+ years of experience in product development and management, preferably in the home goods or consumer durables sector
- Proven track record of successfully launching multiple product lines in international markets
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control systems
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous
- Willingness to travel internationally and work in diverse cultural environments
