Your Company:
Your company is an established international postal service company with a strong presence in Hong Kong and China. They are dedicated to providing efficient and reliable postal and distribution solutions to meet the evolving needs of their clients. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking a talented Business Development Director to join their Hong Kong operations.

Your Role:
As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving business expansion and increasing sales by identifying and developing new opportunities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and developing new opportunities for business expansion and revenue growth.
  • Tracking the market and competitive landscape, staying updated on industry trends, and recommending new products and services to meet market demands.
  • Creating business proposals and plans, defining appropriate structures and strategic directions for business growth.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to execute business development strategies effectively.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including (potential) customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Leading and motivating a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets.
  • Managing the sales pipeline, tracking progress, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conducting regular market analysis, competitor assessments, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • 7-8 years of sales management experience, preferably gained in the e-commerce industry or sales of postal/commercial distribution solutions.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and steer a team towards success.
  • Experience in working with a multi-cultural international team is mandatory.
  • Critical essential experience in China market.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Fluency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to visit (potential) customers, approximately 30% of the time.
