A reputable bank from Hong Kong is looking for a junior Cybersecurity Engineer focusing on network security.

Your new role

• Work with vendors to develop and execute implementation plans for deploying security component upgrades with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., infrastructure, application development, compliance) to ensure the successful integration and configuration of new security components.
• Monitor and analyse security events for detection, investigation, and response to potential security issues.
• Engage in security projects to analyse business and IT processes, identify gaps, and support the development of new solutions.
• Review and ensure the Cybersecurity measures Reviewing the HKMA requirements (such as C-RAF, iCAST) are desirable.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other internal teams on the usage and maintenance of the upgraded security components.
• work for IT Security Team to support daily security monitoring and threat intelligence analysis.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Systems or other related disciplines
• 2–5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Project Implementation, and operations, with experience in the banking industry is a plus
• Knowledge of information security services and products, including but not limited to Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, VPNs, DDOS Protection, Web Application Firewall, Vulnerability Assessments, EDR, SIEM, SOC Operations, are desirable.
• With knowledge of an international security framework such as HKMA's regulatory requirements is highly preferred
• Experience in threat and vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and/or forensic analysis will be advantages.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Immediately available is highly desirable.
• Cantonese speaking is a must
