Your new role

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to enhance system accuracy and inventory management.
• Supervise the optimisation of Warehouse Management System (WMS) logic for workload balancing and resource allocation.
• Drive continuous improvement through research and the adoption of new operational practices and technologies.
• Build and lead a high-performing operating team through coaching, training, and job enrichment.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Plan and manage operational revenues and expenses, including strategic planning and annual budgeting.
• Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage transportation and fleet operations, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and driver management.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods by optimising transportation routes and schedules.
• Monitor and analyse transportation costs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless transportation and distribution processes.
• Implement and maintain fleet management software to track vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role in logistics or supply chain operations.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of inbound logistics between Hong Kong and China, along with experience managing 3PLs.
• Proven experience in warehouse management within a multi-project environment and effective people management.
• Experience in managing cold storage operations is highly preferred.
• Experience in transportation and fleet management, including route optimisation and vehicle maintenance.
• Proficiency in using fleet management software and tools.
