The company

A renowned asset manager with an established legal and compliance department is seeking an ambitious and hard-working legal educated/trained individual to join its team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Counsel, the incoming individual is expected to provide:

• Collaborate with the legal team to provide effective and high-quality legal advice to the company and its subsidiaries.
• Prepare and draft various legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide advice on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate, regulatory, commercial, litigation, employment law, personal data, and privacy.
• Coordinate with external counsels and handle ad hoc legal issues as required by the General Counsel.
• Maintain corporate records and documentation, and manage periodic filings.

Requirements

• LLB or LLM holder
• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in either private practice or in-house. Those with exposures in investment, asset management, securities brokerage and PE would be highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
• Ability to thrive under pressure
