Your new role

• Support the Director, Central Procurement in leading the Central Procurement Department as the centre of excellence to implement central procurement strategies and programmes that improve organisational value and efficiency.
• Initiate enhancement opportunities of the current procurement process, including supplier registration, tendering procedures, supplier performance management, and data analytics to improve procurement performance and efficiency.
• Support enhancement of the current e-Procurement system and the procure-to-pay process.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement activities with organisational goals.
• Oversee and lead procurement activities throughout the procurement process, including procurement approach, business requirements, vendor specification, evaluation criteria, negotiation, and contract preparation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance and monitor supplier performance and build a robust supplier network.
• Conduct regular training sessions for internal stakeholders on procurement matters, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with established procurement policies; develop and enhance policies focused on value creation and improving efficiency according to business needs without sacrificing control.

What you'll need to succeed

• University graduate in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline. The holders of CIPS or similar professional qualifications will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in sizeable organisations.
• Solid experience in category management in marketing and branding and/or IT services.
• Solid experience in SAP Ariba e-Procurement system and a strong sense of procurement compliance.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Highly self-initiated, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in public organisations would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
