As the Team Head of Financial Accounting and Group Reporting, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions of the bank. You will lead a small team of professionals to ensure accurate and timely Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Accounting Policy, Tax, and the implementation of best practices in Financial Accounting.

Your new role

• Lead and manage the financial accounting and group reporting team.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Accounting Policy and Tax Reporting.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance and key metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.
• Manage tax compliance and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
• Oversee general ledger management, including reconciliations and maintenance of accurate financial records.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Working experience in a Corporate Banking HK Branch is a must.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written Chinese Cantonese and English.
